Welcome to #NortHack
On Friday the 7th of April, accepted applicants are all welcomed to NortHack, whether being working or studying, developers or designers. NortHack is a 24 hour hackathon, to create, learn and share an innovative experience, with other tech nerds. The event kicks off at 3 pm and takes place at Grönborg, Sundsvall.
#NortHack is a collaborative effort to engage the tech community in Sundsvall. We are bringing programmers, designers and students from all over Sweden together for an innovation marathon in Swedens third biggest IT hub - Sundsvall.
YES! #NortHack is a free event, with meals and drinks provided, thanks to the generosity of our lovely sponsors. We will also arrange a party after the contest for all the participants and people involved in the event.
We believe in teamwork, so the pool of selected participants will be divided into five teams, 30 minutes before the start of the event. The teams will consist of three contestants each, who all have different skills (UX-design, Front-end development and Back-end development), to complement each other. Every team will also be provided a teamleader, who is a senior developer or an experienced project manager.
Right now, we won't tell you much about the task that the teams will be facing. All we can tell you, is that you will be asked to access open API's and work with realtime communication. Further information will be presented at 3 pm on Friday the 7th.
The competition ends at 3 pm on the 8th, shortly afterwards, every team will be asked to give a presentation of their result, every team will be given 5-10 minutes.
Every team will be judged on these four criterias:

The UI & UX solution
The Back-end solution
The presentation/pitch of the results
The Price - The winning team wins a travel-package to a value of 10.000 SEK
Participants are required to be over 18. Any enrolled undergraduate, postgraduate student, full-time programmer, enthusiast designer, back-end developer, front-end developer, and others, involved in the tech community, are eligible to apply for participation in this event.
Your laptop, any electronics you wish to use, chargers, comfortable clothes, and of course, your ideas and positive energy!
